Hotel Pelicanos is on the beach. They've greened it up with a bit of garden along the beach side. The garden lent a tropical feel to the place. The beach-side rooms all have balconies with lovely views of the beach and ocean. This picture was taken from about half way to the water-line. The restaurant/bar is on the left.
