This picture was taken from my balcony at Hotel Pelicanos after dark on a cold and windy night.

The beach is lined with lamps to illuminate the sand and waves. The hotel recommends that its patrons stay off the beach after dark. I figure it may be pretty safe during good weather if there are a lot of tourists out there. The lamps stayed on all night, their light playing with the waves.
